Last week we had the opportunity to participate in the 2nd Biala Podlaska Entrepreneurship Congress organized by the Biala Podlaska Chamber of Commerce, the John Paul II Biala Academy and the City of Biala Podlaska. The meeting was aimed at showing the investment opportunities of the beautiful region that Podlasie undoubtedly is.
One of the most interesting points of the congress for us was the panel devoted to the New Silk Road, which not only represents a huge opportunity for the region, but is undoubtedly also a considerable challenge.
Courtesy of CARGOTOR sp. z o.o., our team, which carries out sea and rail transport for our clients on a daily basis, had the opportunity in a very intimate group to visit the rail transshipment port in Małaszewicze, which is currently one of the largest dry transshipment ports in Europe. It is the place where most of the containers that go from China to Europe by rail are transshipped. We were shown how the entire process of transshipment of containers from broad gauge rolling stock (1520 mm) to normal gauge rolling stock (1435 mm) takes place.
It was a very valuable time!
